ANN ARBOR – With over 1,000 artists displaying their works at Ann Arbor Art Fair and hundreds of thousands of fairgoers, it can be tricky to navigate the event. Until now.
Ann Arbor Art Fair, running July 19 to 22, has launched a new wayfinding system for this year's fair, and organizers are hoping it will help attendees locate specific artist booths with ease.
How it works
Each booth now has an ID, which begins with two letters of the street it is located on followed by a numerical ID, which corresponds with the city block the booth is on.
For example, below is a list of featured artists from each juried fair:
• Kathleen Willer of the Ann Arbor Street Art Fair, the Original is on the 800 block of North University giving her a Booth ID of NU839.
• Linda Chamberlain of Ann Arbor’s South University Art Fair is on the 1000 block of South University giving her a Booth ID of SU1018.
• Alann J. Boatright of the Ann Arbor Summer Art Fair is in the 200 block of Main Street, giving him a Booth ID of MN237.
• William Kwamena-Poh of the State Street District Art Fair, Ann Arbor is on the 300 block of Maynard Street, giving him a Booth ID of MA335.
