Ann Arbor residents meet with police after murder, police standoff in same neighborhood

Incidents happened 5 days apart

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Ann Arbor residents met with police Thursday evening with concerns after a murder and police standoff occurred within days of each other in the same neighborhood.

Police are investigating a murder Feb. 20 and an incident where a man barricaded himself in a home in the 3400 block of Eli Road on Monday, leading to an hourslong standoff with police.

Police said the incidents aren't related, but neighbors wanted reassurance that they are safe.
