Have an out of body experience Nov. 21 at Nerd Nite Ann Arbor

Join science-loving crowds for three talks about weight, being human

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – On Nov. 21, bring your own nerd herd to experience the science behind Nerd Nite A2 “Weigh of Life - Seeing, Understanding, and Existing in the Universe.”

Starting at 7 p.m. at LIVE, listen to three talks from three passionate presenters on three topics involving weight and the human body.

Explore the universe with University of Michigan physics Ph.D. candidate, Maya Mallaby-Kay, as she discusses scientific attempts to weigh the universe. U-M associate professor of Astronomy, Keren Sharon will explain gravitational lensing (don’t worry, we had to Google that too), and Onna Solomon, a clinical social worker and therapist, will dissect the aspects of being a functional human being.

Doors for the event will open at 6:30 p.m.

All Nerd Nite Ann Arbor presentations held on the third Thursday of every month and are free due to the generosity of the Ann Arbor District Library.

For monthly updates about NNA2 topics, visit the Nerd Nite Ann Arbor website.

LIVE is at 102 S. First St.
