Turkey Trot returns to downtown Ann Arbor on Nov. 28
Work up a big appetite Thanksgiving morning with a 5K
ANN ARBOR, Mich. – On Nov. 28, runners will flock to downtown Ann Arbor for the annual Turkey Trot 5K.
Starting at 8:30 a.m. near the intersection of Fourth Ave and East Liberty St., the 5K race will take Turkey Trotters down South Main St., along Hoover Ave., past Ebel Field and along Hill St. and Divison St.
Hot chocolate, an afterparty, customer medals and photo opportunities with Santa and Turkey Tom will be waiting at the finish lines.
At 9:15 a.m. there will be an awards ceremony in Liberty Plaza where awards will be given to the top five participants in five age groups. Additional awards will be given for the three ugliest sweaters, the top three holiday costumes and the best-themed group of five runners or more. These awards will be given out at 8:05 a.m. before the Turkey Trot.

For tiny turkeys, the Tot Trot 1K has been created for those age 10 and younger. The Tot Trot will begin at 8:15 a.m.
Registration for both the Turkey Trot and Tot Trot costs $44 and $19 respectively until noon on Nov. 26 and includes a long sleeve shirt. Registration costs will increase to $50 and $25.
Partnering up with the ChadTough Foundation, a portion of all entry fees will be donated to the foundation, which focuses on promoting research for pediatric brain cancer and Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma.
