On the other side of the downtown area, South University Avenue between Church Street and East University will be closed at 9 a.m. for construction. The road closure is expected to last until 5 p.m. on July 1, 2023, according to a notice from the City of Ann Arbor.

To avoid the closure, eastbound traffic should go south on East University Avenue, east on Hill Street and north on Church Street. Westbound traffic will not be affected.
