Survey: 'Smart car' safety and security
Tonight at 5:00 p.m. Rod Meloni will look at the efforts GM is making to protect their vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle-to-road technologies, set to launch with 2017 model-year Cadillacs, from security threats.
These systems are supposed to make driving safer by allowing cars to communicate with roadways and other vehicles. Of course, that dream could become a nightmare if hackers wreck havoc on the system.
