Video: Volkswagen engineer blamed in emissions scandal leaves Detroit court

DETROIT – James Robert Liang is accused of being the engineer at the center of Volkswagen's diesel emissions scandal.

He pleaded guilty to conspiracy on Friday in Detroit federal court. This video shows him leaving court with his attorney.

Federal prosecutors said Liang and his team conducted vehicle emissions tests in Ann Arbor, which is why the charges were handed down in Detroit federal court.
