The community and volunteers have come together to keep cars cruising because the Michigan Avenue Cruise is no more.

"The amazing outpouring of support from the residents, businesses and civic groups are a testament to how much Wayne loves this cruise," said John Goci, Cruisin' US12 organizer.

There definitely won't be a shortage of things to do at Cruisin' US12.

There will be live outdoor music, sidewalk sales, 25 cent hot dogs at Northside Hardware, art displays, hula hoop performers, children's activities at the First Congregational Church of Wayne, the Hearse Club, and an interactive Rocky Horror Picture Show at the historic State Wayne Theater at 11:30pm.

"Visitors can park anywhere downtown and walk along Michigan Avenue and Wayne Roads enjoying all of the cars, plus entertainment shops and restaurants, " adds Goci,  "Downtown Wayne, where the event is held, is an area that is embarking on revitalization efforts and you can feel a certain ‘spark' throughout the town."

The event is July 13 so classic car fans should be busy because the All American Cruise in Westland is the same day.
