“When shopping for parts and accessories, many of our buyers may stumble across a question or need directions when it comes to the installation process,” said Todd Madeiros, vice president of parts and accessories at eBay. “With our new Virtual Tech add-on, we’re bridging the gap and helping to connect shoppers with experienced professionals, while also providing them with our massive selection of inventory.”

Virtual Tech costs $19.95 for a 10-minute session and $49.95 for a 20-minute session. The company said that prices are reduced to $14.95 for 10 minutes and $44.95 for 20 minutes for a limited time.

Shoppers will also now have access to eBay's tire installation services, which allow tires to be shipped to a local installation location for no additional charge.

Shoppers can select their tires and select an installer. The customer then contacts the installer to make an appointment to have the tires put on their vehicle.

The installation services include mounting tires on rims, wheel balancing and installing new rubber valves.
