The event raises millions every year for local children's charities.

Tickets start at $290 and the price is tax deductible.

Proceeds support vital services for children of all ages in the Detroit region.

Since 1976, Charity Preview has raised more than $87 million for Southeastern Michigan children's charities; nearly $40 million in the last 10 years.

"Detroit is standing tall, and Charity Preview is evidence of the resiliency of our city, our region and our industry," said Jim Seavitt, NAIAS 2013 chairman. "To the surprise of no one, this area continues to be one of the most generous in the world. Charity Preview makes it possible for us to come together as a community on one special night, focus on the needs of our children, and deliver a very large financial gift of which we can all be proud."

The 2001 North American International Auto Show was held at Cobo Hall in January.
