Classic car enthusiasts will tour the state starting today traveling to some of the participants favorite destinations in recent years.

Car buffs will have a chance to not only show off their rides but also promote the annual Back to the Bricks car cruise weekend which kicks off August 13 in Flint.

According to the founder and chairman of Back To The Bricks Al Hatch,"We started the Promo Tour to do just that – promote Back to the Bricks to car clubs and car collectors outside of Genesee County. By attracting car enthusiasts from outside of the county, our car show and cruise has an even greater economic impact on the county, as we encourage visitors to stay overnight in the county and participate in all of our week long events."

Participants will be taking part in car shows, festivals, and parades throughout the route.

They will stay overnight in Rockford, Hart, Cadillac, West Branch, Oscoda, and Mt. Pleasant before returning to Flint.

The tour kicks off today and will wrap up on June 12.
