Woodward Avenue road work to be suspended Monday for Dream Cruise

Resurfacing will resume Tuesday, August 20

OAKLAND COUNTY – According to the The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT), resurfacing of Woodward Avenue (M-1) will be suspended on Monday, August 5 for the upcoming Woodward Dream Cruise. All traffic control devices will be removed at around 6am.  

Resurfacing  has been going on for more than 5 miles of Woodward Avenue between 14 Mile Road in Royal Oak and Oakridge Boulevard in Pleasant Ridge.

This suspension will last two weeks until Tuesday, August 20. All work should be completed on this section of the road by November.

The Dream Cruise is schedule for Saturday, August 17, but there will be plenty of cruising going on during the week leading up to the event.
