Arby's restaurant owner Roark Capital Group will buy Buffalo Wild Wings

Buffalo Wild Wings has been acquired by Arby's restaurant owner Roark Capital Group in a deal for more than $2.4 billion.

CNBC reports the private equity firm will buy Buffalo Wild Wings for $157 per share. Shares were up 6.4 percent in pre-market trading on Tuesday.

Including debt, the deal is valued at about $2.9 billion.

It's unclear if any major changes will be coming to Buffalo Wild Wings, but starting in 2018, the restaurant will become a privately held unit of Arby's and will operate as an independent brand.
