Headline Goes Here

DETROIT - The city of Detroit is making it a little easier for 'green' drivers to park downtown.

Customers who pay to park at designated City of Detroit Municipal Parking (MPD) facilities now have the ability to charge their electric vehicle.  MPD has installed eight electric vehicle-charging stations at four parking facilities in downtown Detroit.  Electric vehicle owners need only pay the usual parking fees.

The charging stations, provided by Coulomb Technologies Inc. (CTI), are located at the following parking facilities:

· Ford Underground Garage
30 East Jefferson

· Grand Circus Underground Garage
1600-01 Woodward Avenue

· Millennium Garage
432 East Congress

· Premier Underground Garage
1206-08 Woodward

The purpose of the charging stations is to provide an additional convenience to customers with electric vehicles.
