Detroit Children's Museum closed due to low funds

Museum remains closed due to lack of funding

DETROIT – Similar to the Detroit Science Center, the Detroit Children's Museum will remain closed until officials can raise enough money to reopen.

The museum closed before the new year after limited federal funding ran out.

The Science Center closed its doors in late September.

Science Center Board member Francois Castaing resigned Thursday. Castaing was instrumental in the museum's expansion.
