Thousands to attend Trenton Jazz on the River Festival

18th annual jazz festival to be held Saturday, Sunday

TRENTON, Mich. – The 18th year of Jazz on the River will provide two full days of music and fun on August 3 & 4, 2013 along the river's edge at Elizabeth Park in Trenton, MI. International and emerging artists will be featured during this festival, including: Sax & The City starring Marion Meadows, Paul Taylor, Vincent Ingala and Joe McBride, Jeff Lorber Fusion featuring Paul Jackson Jr. and Eric Marienthal, Nick Colionne, Lin Rountree, Alexander Zonjic and more!

"Jazz on the River is a spectacular event that grows in demand and popularity each year," said Wayne County Executive Robert Ficano. "I encourage Wayne County residents to take advantage of the many unique events available to them through Wayne County Parks," Ficano added.

Grills and alcoholic beverages are not permitted into Wayne County parks. BBQ ribs and chicken, hot dogs, burgers & brauts, veggies, ice cream and other special treats are available for purchase.

The event is free to the public, however, parking is available in Elizabeth Park for a $5 donation in support of Wayne County Parks. Another parking option is available at the corner of Jefferson and West Road and Jefferson and Elm. Visitors can ride SMART's free shuttles to Elizabeth Park from these local parking areas. Shuttles will run continuously throughout the festival starting at 1:00 p.m.
