U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary offering boating safety course

HARRISON TOWNSHIP, Mich. – The U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary is offering a Boating Skills and Seamanship course starting March 8.

The course consists of eight core two-hour lessons, and five elective lessons, designed for experienced and novice boaters.

Topics included over the eight weeks include equipment, navigation, weather and many others.

Boating safety classes help prevent accidents and deaths on the water.

The cost of the class is $35. It meets every week from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Harbor Club South in Harrison Township.
