Local pie company to help fight summer hunger

DETROIT – Grand Traverse Pie Company is serving up "The Power of Pie' to kids this summer, hoping to assistant in providing over 2 million meals for hungry children and their families.

Summer can be a difficult time for many children, as more than half of Michigan children rely on free or reduced lunch during school. So GTPC is teaming up with Gleaners Community Food Bank's Hunger Free Summer Program.
