34th annual African World Festival

Event at Detroit's African American museum

DETROIT – Join thousands of people to celebrate the 34th annual African World Festival August 19 to August 21 from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. each day.

The event will be held at the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History at Wayne State University, 315 E Warren Ave, Detroit, MI 48201.

The festival is free, and The Wright is offering a special museum admission price of only $5 during the festival.

There will be performances, poetry, arts and crafts, African drumming and dance, hundreds of vendors, ethnic foods and events for all ages.
