City Year Detroit hosts career day

DETROIT – The City Year Detroit Corp assists teachers in the city in a number of ways and Comcast held a career day event for members.

The program serves seven different schools in the city ranging from grades three through nine.

“They spend one year on a team in a school, in urban school districts as tutors, mentors and role models, providing academic, social, and environmental support to students,” Andrew Stein, executive director of City Year Detroit Corp, said.

Comcast sponsors the organization and gave back to members by helping them with their own future.
