BIRMINGHAM, MI – Today in Birmingham, a special fashion show is being held, to support a specific cause -- Syrian refugees.
Some proceeds from "Breaking Barriers" will go toward funding a mission trip to Greece to help those displaced or trapped after fleeing Syria.
The event organizer, Hoda Winkler, crafted the fashion and the show around the idea of "women of all colors," to reinforce the idea of stepping outside of one's comfort zone, and defying stereotypes.
