Friday, August 4:

2017 Susan G. Komen Michigan 3-Day: Your Susan G. Komen 3‑Day journey will begin with an inspiring, emotional Opening Ceremony. You’ll walk through the shaded neighborhoods and beautiful trails of Farmington, Plymouth, Livonia and more, and spend two fun-filled nights at our Komen 3‑Day camp, bonding with your fellow walkers. It all culminates in a celebratory Closing Ceremony. 

9th Annual Buy Michigan Now Festival: Entering its ninth year in downtown Northville, the Buy Michigan Now Festival is a weekend celebration of the state’s annual Buy Michigan Week. This family-friendly event includes tasty treats, a beer and wine garden, street vendors, live music, and children’s activities, all highlighting Michigan-based businesses and Michigan-made products. 

5th Annual Sidewalk Festival: Sidewalk Festival is back for its 5th annual celebration of Detroit landscape and culture through performance and interactive installation! Marble Bar & Ataxia present: Friday Night Machines: The duo, comprised of cyber punks Ted Krisko & Eric Ricker, deliver their take on Detroit Techno with an acid tinge on their latest record, “The Supertouch EP” on Seth Troxler’s Play It Say It label. 

Dearborn Homecoming: Dearborn will celebrate its 38th annual Homecoming August 4-6 at Ford Field Park, 500 Monroe St., with new attractions, including an Arab American Tent with food and entertainment in the tradition of the festival’s Polish American Shelter and Italian American Shelter.

Yoga Day at Detroit Tigers home: Comerica Park: Let's do yoga together on the Detroit Tigers outfield at Comerica Park in Detroit.

12th and Clairmount Film Screening: The Detroit Free Press documentary "12th and Clairmount" looks back at the 1967 Detroit riot/rebellion, its causes and aftermath. Vintage home movie footage from metro Detroiters provides the heart of the film.
