Pedal For Peace With Travis Peters
There is a local veteran using his brain and his bike to help spread a positive message in the city. In this week's Heart of Detroit, Mitch Albom introduces us to Veteran Travis Peters who's pedaling for peace.
Travis Peters enlisted in the Army to earn money for college, afterward he returned for more than he bargained for. Peters knew he wanted to help his home town without the responsibility of carrying a firearm. One day while riding his bike to work he thought, why not pedal for peace?
Peace Peddlers is military veteran organization that is joined by Thr Detroit Police Officers bike patrol who ride out and about reporting on quality of life issues.
