BINGHAM FARMS, Mich. - Renew Hair & Skin Center is collecting new or gently used wigs for their Second Annual "Wig Out" event.

The wigs will be donated to the American Cancer Society who provides wigs to those in need, particularly to those experiencing hair loss during treatment.
Participants are encouraged to drop off wigs at the Renew Hair and Skin Center located at 30150 Telegraph Road, Suite 173.

Additionally, on Friday, Nov. 2nd, Renew will feature local vendors who will donate a percentage of their proceeds to the American Cancer Society.
Directors of Renew, Robin Welford and Suzie Meklir say they understand the embarrassment and lack of self-esteem that can be caused by hair loss.

The women opened Renew Hair & Skin Center after researching treatments when Meklir began losing her own hair, leaving bald areas and sparse growth all over her head.

"As someone who has gone through hair loss, I can fully empathize with individuals who have undergone various treatments for cancer that can cause hair loss and the importance of their preserving their dignity." The donation of wigs will be a helpful tool during the transition of new hair growth," said Meklir.

Wigs can be droped off frrom Oct. 27th-Nov. 3rd.
