The 5th annual Jackson Road Cruise runs between Maple Road & Baker Road in Scio Township. There's a lot going on at this event: a classic car parade, Miss Michigan, live music, a bounce house, car shows, face painting, Great Lakes Zoological Society pets, and a pizza eating contest. Besides the classic cars, I bet you that would be my favorite part.

"We also have a prize drive where the participants cruise to each checkpoint then return their completed card to our headquarters to be eligible for nice prizes," adds Todd Bailey, director of the Jackson Road Cruise.

The route itself is located on the old trail between Detroit & Chicago way back when.

"Jackson Road is one of the most cruiser friendly because we do not have many stop lights along the seven mile route," says Baileys, "We also have easy turnarounds throughout the road."

Registration begins at 9am at Belmark Lanes. It will cost you $5. The parade starts at 10am.

Oh, and that pizza eating contest starts around 3:15pm.
