Compuware to welcome Detroit family to new home

'Project: Welcome Home' awards home to family for the holidays

DETROIT - Compuware will present a new home to a Detroit family in time for the holidays on Dec. 20 at 3:00 p.m.

Compuware partnered with Habitat for Humanity and the Parade Company earlier this year to build the new home on Detroit's east side.

Out of more than 100 families who applied, the chosen family was Orlando and Kyomonique McQueen along with their 11-month-old and 3-year-old sons.

According to Compuware, the press conference will take place on the porch of the new home and features remarks from Compuware, Habitat for Humanity Detroit, Art Van Funiture, the Morningside Neighborhood Association and the McQueen family.

Additional partners and volunteers that helped build the new home will be announced and acknowledeged at the event.
