Detroit's Masonic Temple teams up with the Crofoot for concerts

DETROIT - Detroit's Masonic Temple is teaming up with The Crofoot Presents to bring more concerts to the city's iconic building.

Bradley Dizik, special adviser to Masonic Temple's trustees, and Dan McGowan from The Crofoot Presents made the announcement Tuesday on Local 4's Live in the D show.

"We're so excited to announce that we have a new main, lead promoter that's associated with the Masonic Temple, The Crofoot Presents," Dizik said. "The promoter has proven itself, not only in the relationship with the temple, but also in the Detroit metropolitan community. They have a good reputation, they're respected, people trust them. They're honest."

The temple is a gem of Detroit history and architecture and a temple of rock ‘n' roll history.

The Rolling Stones to The Who to Jimi Hendrix have all played there.

It was rescued from the brink just weeks ago when musician Jack White stepped up and paid $142,000 in back taxes as the temple was slipping into foreclosure.

The Crofoot is a multi-venue entertainment complex in Pontiac.
