Sen. Levin to speak at start of Focus: HOPE walk

Headline Goes Here

DETROIT - Focus: HOPE, a Detroit jobs training and food programs organization, will hold its annual fundraising Walk for Justice on Sunday.

Hundreds of people, including Michigan Sen. Carl Levin, are expected to take part in the 38th annual event on the Focus: HOPE campus in Detroit.

Levin also is to speak before the early afternoon start of 4-mile walk.

A flash mob also is expected to be part of the festivities.

Focus: HOPE was founded in 1968, after the riots that widened the rift between Detroit's black and white residents. The organization held its first walk in 1974 to promote civil and human rights, and equal opportunities.

Local 4 Meteorologist Andrew Humphrey returns this year as master of ceremonies.
