Telegraph Cruise now a 3-day event

Car cruise hopes to provide fun and help local businesses

TAYLOR, MI – One day cruises are a lot of fun. There are classic cars, food, live music, and great people. Now imagine that for three straight days! That's what's happening in Taylor for the Telegraph Cruise.

"We hope that the 3-day festival will bring in people who have never been to the city of Taylor and showcase all that the city has to offer," says Frank Loor, organizer for the Telegraph Cruise, "There is plenty of shopping, great food and just about everything anyone is looking for from a city and will be a great boost to local businesses throughout the city."

The cruise kicks off Thursday, July 25 and runs until July 27th. It's been going on for over a decade now and runs from the southern end of Taylor to Redford on Telegraph.

One of the more unique features you'll find at this cruise is a 14-stop trolley. It's meant to lighten the traffic load so car cruisers can enjoy a smoother ride and spectators can beat the warm temperatures.

"This will keep people from finding new parking spots to enjoy the many events going on and help from having people walk long distances in the summer heat." adds Loor, "Just jump on the trolley and enjoy the festivities."

For you music lovers, you'll be able to see 14 bands including Hidden Agenda Band, Ray Street Park, Fall Prey and Flight of Fire at the "Party Zone". You'll find it by jumping on the trolley or just go to the corner of Champaign & Telegraph.
