DETROIT - A remodeled library will be unveiled Friday morning to students and staff at the Marcus Garvey Academy in Detroit.

The library has received 2,000 new books, a technology upgrade with new iPads, furniture, carpeting and shelves from Target and The Heart of America Foundation as part of the 2012 Target School Library Makeover Program.

A school-based Target Meals for Minds food pantry providing fresh produce and staple foods monthly to students and families also is part of the renovations.

Marcus Garvey Academy is on Detroit's east side.
