Editors at Where to Retire magazine went looking for places that had something else to offer, like low cost-of-living, lower taxes, good medical facilities, and a range of activities to keep seniors fit and active.

Here are five cities and towns for consideration.

1) Hendersonville, N.C.
2) St. Augustine, Fla.
3) King of Prussia, Pa.
4) College Station, Texas
5) Branson, Mo.
