Trader Joe's salad recalled for peanut risk

Peanut allergy concerns leads to salad recall

A California company is recalling all date codes of Trader Joe's Dried Seaweed Salad with Spicy Dressing (SKU 97677) because it may contain traces of peanuts, which are not mentioned on the label. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to peanuts run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product.

The dried seaweed salad was packaged in a 3.5 oz. foil pouch and found in the grocery aisle at Trader Joe's. The items were sold nationwide. The voluntary recall was issued by Jayone Foods of Paramount, California after a customer inquiry prompted an investigation.
