Ford issues six new recalls

Ford issuing recalls for more than 100,000 vehicles

Ford Motor Co. announced Monday it is recalling more than 100,000 vehicles in six new recalls.

The majority of the recall consists of 92,000 vehicles with issues concerning the right-side half shaft.

This problem could result in vehicles rolling away when placed in park without the emergency brake activated.

These vehicles include: 2013-2014 Ford Taurus, Ford Flex, Ford Police Interceptor, Lincoln MKS and Lincoln MKT, 2012-2014 Ford Edge and 2014 Lincoln MKX.

The Dearborn automaker is also recalling 2,000 2014 Ford Escape SUV's for problems with roof glass that may not have been properly installed.

The other recalls include:

-197 of the 2014 model Ford Fiestas are included for issues with fuel tanks.

-5,264 of the 2011-2013 Ford F59 Commercial Stripped Chassis vehicles for the possibility of fires due to short circuits in the electrical junction blocks.

-635 of the 2014 Ford F53 Motorhome Stripped Chassis and F59 Commercial Stripped Chassis for issues with brake calipers.

-368 of the 2014 Ford Transit Connect Vans are being recalled for brake fluid labeling issues. 

This year the Ford has recalled nearly 3 million vehicles in the United States.

Dealers will make repairs to the recalled vehicles.

Ford says the problem has not resulted in any crashes or injuries.
