Nearly 2M watches recalled due to chemical burns, skin irritation

DETROIT – Nearly 2 million MZB kid's watches are being recalled after people who bought the watches reported skin irritation and chemical burns while wearing them.

Hundreds of different styles are being recalled. The back of the watches can detach and expose the interior to water, posing a risk of rashes or burns to the skin.

There have been 11 reports of skin irritations or chemical burns, six of which required medical treatment. The watches were sold at KMart, Kohl's, Walmart and other retail stores nationwide from October of 2012 through June of 2015.

An additional 58,000 watches were sold in Canada.

Anyone who has one of the recalled watches should take the watches away from children and call MZB for a refund.
