Save money on home improvement with ReStore

DETROIT – The Habitat for Humanity ReStore has been around for 15 years but there are few people who know how much they can actually save by going there.

The stores sell mostly new items that include building materials, appliances, rugs, Pittsburgh Paint, brand name mattresses in every size, lamps, and TV's.

ReStore will take anything that comes to the door that people can use for remodeling or repairing. Most of its new items are donated from big box stores, and are then offered at a steep discount. But it accepts donations from anyone.

ReStore is open to the public, anyone can shop at it's four metro Detroit locations.

Store manager, Trevor Lile says ReStores are catching on because of the discounted items.

If you are interested in donating you can call 313-884-100, go to http://www.metrorestores.org/ to schedule a free pick up at or go to any location Monday thru Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
