Thrifty Thursday: Score more scholarships

We are helping you cut costs when it comes to college education. You can spending hours, if not days or weeks trying to find scholarships or try this!

"Everyone needs financial aid and some of them aren't doing anything for it,” said Senior Katie Hurskens. “You have to put in the work if you want it."
The Bishop Foley student is getting ready for her freshman year in college. Finding the money to  pay for school is a little easier thanks to help from College Funding 1-2-3.

"The whole purpose of the organization is to help students not only find the best fit for college, the college they want to go to, the program they want to, but more importantly help them find the funding that's available,” said College Funding 1-2-3 spokeswoman, Vicki Foley.

And while finding scholarships and other grants and money for school takes time and effort, College Funding 1-2-3 works to simplify the process.

"They ask you to do an hour a week to work with them and you can go from there,” said Foley. “You can work on the act online so you can put in as much work as you want."

Pricing for College Funding 1-2-3's services vary but they promise to find funding for five times their membership fee to at least one of six schools your student chooses for one year. On average, members receive anywhere from $30-50,000 in financial awards over four years in college.

"I would recommend it I mean because everyone needs financial aid!" said Hurskens.
