SodasStream bottles recalls, injury hazard

Help Me Hank consumer alert, SodaStream recalls 51,000 bottles

Many Americans have jumped on the "make-your-own" soda bandwagon, using SodaStream to make soda at home. Now, SodaStream is recalling about 51,000 carbonating bottles, with about 7,600 sold in Canada. The company says the bottles could burst under pressure and it's worried someone might get hurt. So far, no injuries have been reported.

The recall involved SodaStream, one-liter, blue-tinted, plastic carbonating bottles. Only bottles with an expiration date of “4/2020” printed on the warning label are included in the recall. The recalled bottles have a blue cap and blue bottom base.

They were sold from February, 2016 through January of 2017. The retailed for about $15. You should stop using the bottles and contact SodaStream for a full refund.
