Crayon-maker Crayola has announced the early retirement of the crayon color Dandelion.

The dark yellow crayon has been kicked out of the crayon box.
It will no longer be in Crayola's iconic 24-count pack of crayons. and will be replaced with a new shade.
Dandelion's retirement was to be announced Friday to mark national crayon day but came a day early via Crayola's twitter account.
Crayola will reveal the new color to take dandelion's place today via a Facebook live stream at 8:45 a.m.
