Dessert recalled due to undeclared nuts concern

Headline Goes Here

Talenti Gelato & Sorbetto is recalling some Chocolate Cake Gelato pints because they may contain undeclared almonds, which could pose a danger to people who are allergic to almonds.

For consumers who are not allergic, there's not health danger. The company says none of the pints were shipped to Michigan stores.

The company has not received reports of illness, but allergic reactions can be severe.

The German Chocolate Cake Gelato pints come with the UPC # 1 8685200063 1 with a BEST BY DATE of 11/04/2014 M1, 11/24/2014 M1, and 11/24/2014 M2 on the bottom of the container.

No other Talenti Gelato branded products are affected by this voluntary recall.

Consumers in possession of the recalled product that have an allergy to almonds should not consume it and should discard it.

Consumers with questions may contact the company at 612-455-8104, Monday - Friday, 7 a.m. - 7 p.m.
