They are polyester and have the name Columbia printed on the front. The jackets have two battery packs located in inner pouches. There are reports the heated, inner-wrist cuff can overheat and pose a burn hazard.

The recall involves about 9,600 jackets in the U.S. and 640 in Canada. They are sold at Bass Pro Outdoor World, Dick's Sporting Goods and other major retailers and sporting or outdoor stores nationwide; and online at Amazon.com and Columbia.com from May 2012 to January 2013 for between $250 and $1,200.
