Parrotheads set to flock to Comerica Park Saturday

Jimmy Buffett returns to Detroit, Margaritaville beach party starts at noon

DETROIT – Parrotsheads are ready to slip away into Margaritaville as Jimmy Buffett takes the stage Saturday at Comerica Park.

Jackson Browne will open for Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band in the "Songs from St. Somewhere 2013 Tour."

Last July marked Michigan's largest single-night Buffett concert in history with a sold out crowd at Comerica Park.

Again this year, fans are invited to soak-in the full Margaritaville experience with the return of the free downtown beach party.

Starting at noon, the day-long festivities can be found at the corner of Woodward and Montcalm on the north side of Comerica Park.

The beach party will feature a LandShark Lounge, a variety of island-inspired interactive games, tiki bars with frozen concoctions, live entertainment and more.

As of early Saturday, tickets for the concert could still be found online.
