ANN ARBOR, Mich. – A video from the University of Michigan Health System encouraging people to become a hero for someone else has attracted the attention of Ellen DeGeneres.
Wolverines for Life kicked off its annual life-saving donation challenge against Ohio State Friday with a video designed to inspire people to sign-up to be an organ donor, register on the bone marrow registry and also to donate blood.

Friday afternoon DeGeneres posted a link to the video to her Facebook page with the message, "We can all be heroes."
At last check the video had 5,712 likes and was shared 425 times.
With more than 10 million followers on DeGeneres' page the university hopes the video will encourage people to make life-saving donations everywhere.
