Ahoy! Welcome to 'Talk Like a Pirate' day

DETROIT – In honor of International Talk Like a Pirate Day, September 19, you too can be a swashbuckler! Mango Languages is offering a free Talk Like a Pirate course, where language learners can explore Pirate language and culture.
Mango's Talk Like a Pirate course is available to anyone via 'Mangos website as well as in all 2,700 public and academic libraries where Mango is currently offered. Mango's special Pirate course offers five lessons in basic Pirate vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation and also provides language learners context and insight into everyday Pirate life and culture.

International Talk Like a Pirate Day is upon us, providing an excellent opportunity for all of us to get excited about language and broaden our cultural horizons by learning Pirate," said Jason Teshuba, linguapreneur and CEO of Mango Languages. In addition, Krispy Kreme will celebrate the holiday by giving a free glazed donut to anybody who talks like a pirate. If you dress like a pirate you'll get a dozen free donuts.
