DETROIT - Detroit's own Kid Rock is making headlines for something he said Sunday at the Billboard Music Awards.

When he took the stage to present duo Macklemore and Ryan Lewis with the award for top rap song for "Thrift Shop," he had a special shout out.

"Let's give it up for people lip-synching under pre-recorded music," he said.

It wasn't totally clear who Kid Rock was referring to, but it raised some eyebrows in the crowd.

Taylor Swift was the night's red hot winner.

She won eight of 11 awards, including top artist and top Billboard 200 album for "Red." She told the crowd: "You are the longest and best relationship I ever had."
