Nickelodeon has announced the "Rugrats" are returning to the kid-friendly network with 26 new episodes. The original series ran for nine seasons between 1991 and 2004.

The babies are also headed back to the big screen, as Paramount Pictures says a new "Rugrats" live-action movie featuring C.G.I. character animation will arrive in movie theaters in November of 2020. The original "Rugrats Movie" brought in more than $140 million worldwide at the box office back in 1998.

CBS reports there is no word on whether any of the original voice cast will return for the series or movie. Christine Cavanaugh, the original voice of Chuckie Finster, died in 2014.

"Rugrats" creators Arlene Klasky, Gabor Csupo and Paul Germain are on board as executive producers of the television series.
