12 ways to keep the kids busy when the power goes out

When the power goes out, you have to resort to some old school methods to keep yourself (and the kids) entertained.

Here are some things you can do to pass the time!

  • Play cards
  • Read a book
  • Light up that fireplace and tell some stories!
  • Draw or paint a picture
  • Play a board game
  • Build a blanket/pillow fort
  • Pull out those albums and look at some old photos
  • Rearrange the bedroom by flashlight
  • Play hide and seek
  • Play flashlight tag
  • Break out the coloring books
  • Bust out the Lincoln Logs or blocks
