Many of us are told not to indulge in stereotypes, but when it comes to cars, men and women still have some key differences. While the gender gap may be smaller than before, a new study from TrueCar.com shows some specific trends in how each gender shops for cars.

The study found female car buyers prefer smaller, more fuel-efficient brands, while men seek our fast, sporty, heavy-duty models. This study didn't look at which brands are the top sellers, but which ones had the highest number of male of female customers.
For example- Mini is tops with women, with more than 46 percent of its customer being female. On the men's side- Ferrari is No. 1, with more than 92 percent of its customers being male.
