ABOUT PAULA TUTMAN'S TOOTHFAIRY FOUNDATION

Children's ToothFairy Foundation provides dental funding to uninsured children in Southeastern Michigan with a focus on Wayne, Oakland, Macomb and Washtenaw Counties.

Our partnership with the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry allows us to serve the community in numerous ways. Our patients and referrals don't have insurance and need dentists. The juniors and seniors at the dental school need patients in order to graduate. By utilizing the services of dental students under the close supervision of their instructors, we are not only providing a valuable service to those children under the age of 18 who need dental care, but we are indoctrinating future dentists and hygienists into the service of community work.

We will take a confidential application from a child's guardian and screen them for Medicaid eligibility.  If a family qualifies for Medicaid we will get them signed up and into the system for services.  If they do not qualify, we will handle 100% of the dental bill once the patient completes their regimen of care through our contracted providers.  We do not do cosmetic dentistry or orthodontia of any kind.

With our educational outreach programs we go into the communities we serve for workshops and clinics on proper oral health.  Each child will be screened by our partners at UDM School of Dentistry and gets a special gift of a tool kit to get them on the right path to good oral hygiene
