Charlie and the Chocolate Factory coming to Detroit Opera House

DETROIT – Tickets to see Roald Dahl’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory at the Detroit Opera House will go on sale Sunday, November 17.

Tickets start at $29 and can be purchased online at broadwayindetroit.com or ticketmaster.com and by phone at 800-982-2787. Tickets may also be purchased at the Detroit Opera House and Fisher Theatre box offices beginning on Monday, November 18.

Roald Dahl’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory tells the story of Willy Wonka, world famous inventor of the Everlasting Gobstopper, who has just made an astonishing announcement. His marvelous—and mysterious—factory is opening its gates…to a lucky few. That includes young Charlie Bucket, whose life definitely needs sweetening. He and four other golden ticket winners will embark on a mesmerizing, life-changing journey through Wonka’s world of pure imagination.   • Special open captioned and audio described performance on Sunday, Feb. 23 at 6:30 p.m.
