Detroit, Michigan – Hey Detroit!
Turkey here. My day is fast approaching, that’s right, Turkey Day! This year I’ve made it my mission to spread the word about “America’s Thanksgiving Parade presented by Art Van,” but I realized people wouldn’t listen to any old turkey. I knew I needed to get myself looking right, and I needed something to make myself look legit. So after a bit of self care, I called up my good friend Clownie, broke out my trusty Turkey scooter and hit the streets to make my mark!
Lots of Detroiters were interested in my sweet ride.
I couldn’t get over how happy folks were to see me. Apparently Detroiters are so excited about “America’s Thanksgiving Parade presented by Art Van.” They were straight up drooling at the sight of me. Yep, that’s the only possible reason for the hungry looks and all the drooling. One nice old lady offered me a ride in her refrigerated van and some handfuls of corn, but I couldn’t be deterred from my mission! People sure love Thanksgiving, so I started by asking them all about their holiday traditions!
I also asked them what they love about the big parade hitting Detroit’s Woodward Ave on Thanksgiving morning.
In the end, I made some amazing new friends, had a few hugs, and more than a few invitations to folks’ turkey day dinner parties. It broke my heart to decline, but my Thanksgiving is booked. I’ve got a date with Devin Scillian, Kimberly Gill, Evrod Cassimy, Rhonda Walker, and Ben Bailey, not to mention Santa Claus! I wouldn’t miss all the joy, excitement, and tradition of “America’s Thanksgiving Parade presented by Art Van” for the world. If you can’t make it down to Woodward to be part of the party, stay in your jammies and watch us from home starting at 6AM. There’s only one place for live coverage from the best spot on Woodward with the best news team in Detroit, and that’s Local 4 and ClickOnDetroit.com!
Make sure to watch!
